in the name of god amen I Sam Tunbridge of Earls Colne in the county of Essex wheelwright being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath unto Sam Tunbridge and his heirs all that my messuage or tenement with the appurtenances situate and being in Hedingham Lane in Halstead in the said county of Essex adjoining to the Meeting House there and late in the occupation of Joshua Ison also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susan the now wife of Robt Kingsbury all those my two messuages houses or tenements situate and being in the same lane in Halstead aforesaid now nor late in the occupation of Moses Benjamin and Serjeant To hold to her and the heirs of her body lawfully begotten or to be begotten and in default of such issue then I give and devise the said houses with their appurtenances unto my youngest son Wm and his heirs for ever I also give and devise unto my said daughter Susan the sum of 10li to be paid at such times and in such proportion as my executor hereinafter named shall think proper and convenient and that her own receipt or receipts shall be his sufficient discharge for the same also I give and bequeath unto my two granddaughters Eliz and Frances Tunbridge daughters of the said Wm the sum of 20li apiece to be paid them by my executor as soon as they shall attain the age of twenty one years I also give unto my sister Mary Price the sum of 20s to be paid within one month after my decease I also give and bequeath unto my nephew Sam Tunbridge the sum of 5gns all the rest and residue of my real and personal estate or estates whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath unto my youngest son Wm Tunbridge and his heirs for ever subject nevertheless to the legacies herein before bequeathed and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son Wm sole executor and residuary legatee of this my last will hereby revoking all former will or wills by be heretofore made and I do declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3.7.1762 the writing of Sam Tunbridge signed sealed published and declared by the above named Sam Tunbridge the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnessed thereto in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other Wm Bailey Jn Shane Elisha Smith
