I Eliz Fromond of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my two daughters Eliz Beauchamp widow and Hannah Fromond or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of the survivor all my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever in trust that they the said Eliz and Hannah or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of the survivor shall cause a just and true inventory and appraisement to be taken thereof as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and the money that such goods chattels personal estate and effects shall be valued at I dispose of in manner following first for and towards the payment of all my just debts funeral charges and the charge of proving this my will and all other charges and expenses attending to the execution thereof and after such deduction I desire that lawful interest for the remaining principal money according to the above valuation shall be paid quarterly for and towards the use and benefit of my son Geo Fromont during the term of his natural life provided nevertheless that in case my said two daughters Eliz and Hannah or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of the survivor shall not chose to retain the said goods chattels personal estate and effects in their hands according to the above disposition then I desire that the same may be sold and the money arising therefrom after the above deduction to be placed out at interest either upon real or government securities and that the said interest and proceed be applied for the use and benefit of my said son Geo Fromont as is above directed and whereas there is a certain legacy of 100li due to me under the will of the late Wm Turner esq deceased now my mind and will is that whenever the said sum of 100li or any part thereof shall be paid that the same shall be placed out by my executrixes (hereinafter named) or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of the survivor either upon real or government securities and the interest arising therefrom applied for and towards the use and benefit of my said son Geo Fromont during the term of his natural life and I do hereby authorise and empower my said executrixes hereinafter named or the survivor of them or the executors or administrators of such survivor to change alter and transpose such sum or sums of money that shall seem meet and for and immediately after the decease of my said son Geo Fromont I give and bequeath all the above principal monies together with all interest then due upon the same to and amongst all and every of my children that shall be then living share and share alike and in case any of my said children shall happen to die in the lifetime of my said son Geo Fromont my mind and will is that the issue of such child or children shall receive such share or shares as the father or mother would have be entitled if living and I do nominate and appoint my said two daughters Eliz Beauchamp and Hannah Fromond executrixes of this my will and my mind and will further is that my said executrix or either of them their or either of their executors or administrators shall not be answerable or accountable for any other sum or sums of money than they shall respectively and actually receive nor shall either of them be answerable for the act receipt neglect or default of the other of them but each of them for her and their own act receipt neglect or default only and in case any loss or losses shall at any time happen in my said personal estates without the wilful neglect or default of my said executrixes or either of them their or either of their executors or administrators then that they or any of them shall not be liable to make good the same or any part thereof and if any loss or losses shall happen by or through their or either of their wilful neglect or default then that she or they only who shall be guilty thereof shall be answerable for the same and hereby revoking all former and other wi ll and wills by me at any time here before made I do publish and declare this to be my last will in witness whereof I the said Eliz Fromond have to this my last will and testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand and seal to each sheet and my seal to the label by which they are affixed together this 1.8.1782 Eliz Fromond signed sealed published and declared by the said Eliz Fromond the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Wm Roberts H Algar
