Thos Pannell of Stambourne clerk taken as above who says that he coming from Castle Hedingham about such time as Jn Stebbing and Margery Hawles were brought before mr Amies for the child that was born base of her body as he went homewards with one Thos Hurrell of Stambourne aforesaid blacksmith he the said Thos Hurrell reported unto this examinant and one Hen Maye who was constable of Stambourne that the said Jn did say before him and his wife and (his) brother Geo Hurrell "that he had lain with the said Margery Hawles thrice in one night"
