22.8. information of Math Lamb of Salcott who saith that within a month last past he hath had divers bushels of oysters at several times stolen out of his layers and that on the 13.8. instant he met Thos Roote going home from Abbotts Hall in Wigbrorow where he had been reaping for two or three weeks before unto Earls Colne his dwelling place and perceiving that he had something in his sack which this informant suspected to be his oysters he challenged him but Roote at first denied he had any oysters but being pressed Roote's wife bid her husband give the man his oysters which he did and there were a peck and a half and were worth 1s6d Math Lamb
