(a form) to the churchwardens and other the overseers of the poor of the parish of Much Tey and to every of them forasmuch as complaint hath been made by you unto us two of her majesty's justices of the peace for the said county one being quorum that Mary Crow is lately come into your parish (Much Tey) endeavouring there to settle herself contrary to law and should she there continue is likely to become chargeable to your said parish and whereas upon examination of the said Mary Crow upon her oath it appeareth to us that the said Mary Crow was born in the parish of Earls Colne and lived there as yearly hired servant with Marge Lamb widow wherefore we adjudge Earls Colne to be the place of her last legal settlement these are therefore in her majesty's name to command and authorise you forthwith to remove and convey the said Mary Crow from your said parish of Much Tey to the said parish of Earls Colne and deliver her to the churchwardens etc 19.4.1707 Wm Mott J Thurston
