to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of Earls Colne and to the churchwardens and overseers of the parish of Coptford complaint from the churchwardens and overseers of the parish of Earls Colne having been made that Andrew Butler with Mary his wife and Phil their child have lately intruded# themselves into Earls Colne and on the oath of Andrew Butler it appears that Andrew Butler and his wife Mary and child Phil are like to become chargeable unto the parish of Earls Colne and the last legal settlement of Andrew Butler was Coptford therefore they are to be removed to Coptford given 10.11.1748
