Wm Garrarde brother and heir of Thos Garrarde holdeth to him and to his heirs of the lord by copy of court roll one messuage called Skynners and a croft of land with houses thereupon builded and a barn called Burtons Barn or Burtons Garden with free ingress and regress by the gates of this manor from the highway leading towards Colchester unto the said barn and by Berecroft as well to carry and recarry there by the same gates as by the same croft of land and one tenement called Gentryes and three crofts of land called Bromecrofts containing 12a and one croft of land containing 11a together with a way leading unto the same field to drive and chase (395) (403) and one meadow late parcel of the same croft called Berecroft containing 3a as with marks and bounds on every side be divided with appurtenances in Earls Colne aforesaid by fealty suit of court and by the yearly rent of 21s6d payable quarterly as is aforesaid and the same Wm is within age and in the custody of Alice his mother now wife of Wm Deverell until his full age of 21years as it appeareth in the court rolls of this manor 23Eliz1 and 28Eliz1 the same sometime was of Renold Hygate gentleman and before of one Banburye as appeareth in the rental 3Edw6
