Secondary disposal of skull in sandstone funerary cist: this takes place after it has been removed from the corpse platform. The design painted on the skull is a replica of that tattooed on the deceased's chest during his lifetime, and in this particular case signifies his rank as a head-taker. Konyak, Kongan village.
