text: | After lunch I sat on a high fort taking in the enormous view and talking to Unelhu about the coming changes. He is attached to the public works side of the Deputy Commissioner Office and is himself a resident of Khonoma. He was full of pride in the village and dismay for the future. 'Even if the British go' he said 'Russia will come in' From congress we can expect nothing. But Khonoma will fight'. |
