text: | A feature of the village, as indeed of Kigwema, is the modern system of water supply. A long pipe winds down the hillside and up the spur and there are a number of tanks from which water can be drawn. Electric light is soon to be added and it is an odd commentary on the war that these remote villages should now be better equipped than most villages of the plains. |
