All these villages are in the area of the Pangsha gap, the last three being to the East of the Patkoi. The control area must I think now be extended to the Patkoi Range everywhere. There are various posts dotted about and we must be in a position to enforce orders. |

Ponyu village rules the whole area between the Patkoi Range and the Chindwin River. Even if we wanted to stop head hunting I don't see how we can do so at present. The small number of troops available area for the protection of the U.S.A.A.F. posts and cannot be used for other purposes. |
