text: 25th May '47. I remained in Camp. The Naga Scouts and 15 Sepoys went off to burn TSUPURE, said to be fairly close. These parties did not have any reliable guides. They lost their way on the lower slopes of the Patkoi, met a party of Nagas who were panjiing and guarding a path and killed six of them and then came back to camp. This meant another day's halt.
