text: Dec. 2. Charali - met 3 Ao interpreters - 'visitors' to the NNC - 'Mayang, Imkongmeren staying on' - the NNC has decided that all Naga Govt. servants must resign on 5 Dec. - 'Mayang staying on at Kohima in case a reply comes from Delhi'.
text: At the bungalow, a typed notice from Aliba announcing that on 5 Dec. at 12p.m. that the Naga Hills will leave the Union.
text: Dec. 3. While still in bed Shozhu tells us that the Ao news is wrong - Mayang is on his way back - Pawsey is going to see the Governor - NNC has decided to wait till 31 Dec.
text: Dimapur - met Imkongmeren - he blamed Aliba for all the trouble - said that it was the NNC which had sat on and not merely a few leaders - denied that 5 Dec. was a deadline. Mayang had induced them to go to Pawsey - to ask his intervention with the Governor - did not know whether Pawsey was to ask for new clause 9 or old clause 9 - Khelhoshe also passed in a jeep - 'We are going to wait until Dec. 31st.'
