text: Aos and Christianity.
text: One of the 'ancient' customs which Aos found irksome is the rule that for any apotia death all property has to be jettisoned and all domestic animals killed off (see tales 285). To avoid this appalling economic loss families hurriedly embrace christianity.
text: The tribal premium on feast of merit not irksome - and in fact rich christians give Xmas feasts (Noksha's new []). When Kensa dragged its new log-drum got stuck on 4'day and the christians helped to pull it in. Asangma - Christian Ao village - got burnt - the church safe with more than Rs. 1000 stolen - found empty in the graveyard - effect to detect failed therefore although christian, asked to bring in a montry (diviner)
