text: 4 slim stones 3-4 feet high and about 1 foot in diameter originally vertical - now leaning askew - one is said to have had a phallus which the Ao Christian struck off - there are marks of where the stone has been split - 12 feet S.W. of the 4 - the female stone - this has always been recumbent but it has now been lifted by the root of a tree into a slightly slanting position - it is 3 feet broad at the top tapering to 2 feet - it is 18" to 6' thick - its characteristic is an oval slit. SKETCH
text: Some difficulty because there are 2 other stones in close proximity at the spot and apart from the female stones the 6 are by no means obviously special.
text: Spirit of these stones, we are offering you a pig. Do us no harm. Keep everyone well. Do not visit us with sickness or with death'. (If not done, epidemics will carry off the village people.) Chatongre - many died this year because the Amongmung genna had not been done properly).
text: Longterok (Sangtam) - Longtrok (Ao) - this is how the stones are addressed - 'the 6 stones'.
text: Chongliyemdi - a new khel has now sprung up on the old site.
