text: 1. Mongnyu - Sowa
text: Had sworn in June 1947 not to go to war. In Nov. 1947 Sowa made a new morung - required a head so sent 3 raiders across the Dikhu to ambush a Mongnyu village and get a head - the 3 raiders each had guns - but after going about a mile into Mongnyu land and while still 3 miles from the village they were detected by 10 men of Mongnyu. The Mongnyu party opened fire - killed one and the others threw away their guns and ran - getting back across the river.
