text: From the school we went to the hospital. There is a keen Ao Naga doctor and the wards were overflowing - two patients sitting on one bed. In spite of more diseases in the rains, gastric troubles, malaria and Naga sores, few patients usually go to the hospital then, but this doctor seems to have gained the confidence of the surrounding villages. There were a number of syphilitic cases. The doctor attributes them to the presence of a military outpost at Wokha many years ago. In several cases he has succeeded in getting the wife as well as the husband to attend the hospital.
