text: | As in Holongba and Sangsoma, the drum houses had fallen into disrepair. It looks as though the drum loses much of its significance once head taking is stopped. In the centre of the village was a morung that had been struck by lightning, a mass of charred posts. It must have been a noble building for two great buffalo heads with horns five feet wide lay on the ground. |
