text: | The Chang houses are quite different from those of other tribes. They have sharply sloping roofs with great porches that project like the prow of a ship. They are covered in shaggy thatch cut with zig-zag edges and hung with great straw tassels. The porches project across the narrow streets and overlap alternately to form a dark pointed tunnel over the road. |
