text: There was also the news that Aliba had gone with one or two other N.N.C. members to meet the Governor at Shillong. But the Governor had refused to meet them unless they withdrew their ultimatum. This they refused to do, so they returned to Kohima without seeing him. Now the Governor has gone to Delhi to meet Nehru and this is one of the matters that is to be discussed.
