text: First we went on foot for a long time and asked Thevoni about the position and duties of the Thevo, the village priest of the Eastern Angami. While walking I made some notes (see notebook 1,p.1 ). (35) We passed by the village Chedema leaving it above us to the right. Then we rode a while but soon got down again when it went down hill and also started to rain. The rain was not heavy and soon stopped again. We descended further and further into the warm and humid valley of the Dzulu River which we crossed on an iron bridge.
