text: (47) In many houses, especially in those of the gaonbura, we were served madhu. Our prepared lunch which we had brought with us we ate in Thevoni's house. His pretty young wife acted as lady of the house and, in wooden bowls, she served him and our people pork and rice of which they ate enormous quantities with wooden spoons.
