text: Afterwards we photographed Thevoni, his wife, his daughter from a previous marriage, and a young female relative who is divorced and lives in his house as a kind of servant. After Mills had drawn some houses, or rather their carvings, we started on our way back at about three o'clock. We had had good weather all day with frequent sunshine, but half an hour before we came to the bungalow it started to rain. We were both rather tired. Towards evening I wrote a long letter to Heine which will be sent to Kohima tomorrow.
