Soon we reached Chezumi, a beautiful big village with many stone graves and mithan skulls piled up on them. One finds here two types of house horns. The simpler one is acquired through a smaller genna and the usual Angami version through the great ceremony of stone placing. The hospitality of the people was rather exhausting as we had to drink rice beer in innumerable houses. Finally we only sipped a bit and poured the rest back which is not an insult here. We had to visit the old and new village. Chezumi is a fusion of several communities and therefore has four Thevos. |
