In Naginimara (76) two ponies were waiting for us and we rode through thick jungle for three miles until we reached the Castle's bungalow. He is the manager of the Borjan Colliery. Several times we crossed under the suspended shuttles which carried the coal. The bungalow stands directly above the Dikhu River and has a magnificent view of the plain. It stands on poles and it is supplied with all the comfort one could possibly have here. Big beautiful rooms, bathrooms with running water, real enamel bath tubs and flushing toilets. Electric fans and lights are found in every room and every opening, even the big verandah, has finely-meshed screens to protect one from mosquitoes so that one does not need to sleep under a mosquito net. |
