text: Below the village some Konyaks were expecting us and gave us some rather sour tasting rice beer in freshly cut bamboo cylinders. They wore tight belts and small blue aprons which hung down their front. (78) Around their necks they wear, usually red, bead necklaces and they love to put brightly coloured flowers in their pierced ear lobes.
