In the evening we again ate with Blah who is a pleasant, very European, man. Although he himself belongs to a protestant church he also does not speak well of the American Mission. Its influence by the way is supposed to be receding in many villages. It was a joy to have a few short drinks before dinner. The meal itself was excellent and it was served by a Lhota in full ceremonial costume. Afterwards Blah showed us three round black stones of which it is said that they can multiply. The smallest one is supposed to be the child of the other two. I think he got them in a Sema village. Blah said that he's going to come to Wakching on the 30th for a few days. |
