text: The old man takes the chickens and eats them but the head of one of them is stuck on a panji and put up in the jungle. The figure is buried under the village path together with the other two chicken heads. The text of the magic spell is understandable when one knows that the people of Wakching are convinced (40) that this illness with headaches is caused by one of the great Angs. It is not even necessary to enter into a conflict with him but is sufficient to have looked him straight in the eyes in a cold manner in order to be punished this way. Metlo therefore thinks that his meeting with the Ang of Chi some time ago is the source of his illness.
