text: My cigarettes were much appreciated and one young man sold me a ribbon as the girls make it for their boyfriends for tying together the pan leaves. Another boy who had first shown me his did not want to part with it even for twice the price. When I finally got up the girls asked me to stay a bit longer to which I responded that indeed I wouldn't mind spending the entire night, which of the girls was willing to share it with me. Of course everyone knew that this was only a joke, but it seemed to fit the general tone and we parted in great merriment.
