text: Again I heard the rain on the roof while still asleep. The morning looked hopeless. Just as we were packing up everything innumerable people arrived for medicine. Finally the coolies who had arrived unduly early could depart. At quarter to nine I followed together with Nlamo who had spent all of yesterday in bed with a cold, with Chingai and his companion, an Oting boy of particular charm. The Ang accompanied us to the village gate.
