text: When the players, whose naked backs are shining with sweat in the light of the fire, finally put down their sticks, the young Ang carries on by himself for a few minutes, and announces again, so to speak, that the morung's Ang is dead by beating the death rhythm. No feast is held in the morung (112) but the Mon people withdraw to the houses of those friends they are spending the night with. Accompanied by a torch carrier I reach my camp.
