text: Half past seven we started off and followed the steep path into the valley of the Chamyung River about 4000 feet below Helipong. The rain had stopped but a uniformly grey blanket of clouds covered the sky. Both slopes of the valley are covered with open jhum, only some elder wood stand here and there. If the country around Pangsha is like this we can congratulate ourselves as an ambush is virtually impossible here. So far however all villages are still very peaceful
