A huge tree trunk has been laid as a bridge across the River Chamyung. (203) On the other side it goes steeply uphill again about 2000 feet high to the Chang village Chingmiren. It is on a mountain ridge surrounded by a small forest and with its about 100 houses it gives a rather poor impression. In addition a major part of the village has burnt down recently and has only provisionally been rebuilt. In the preserved part the gables of the houses in one street overlap so much that almost the entire passage is covered |
