text: From here a path leads right along the slope to our camp so that we do not first have to climb down the 200 metres to the lower khel. On the way one of the sepoys killed a small snake which looks like a tiny Russel Viper. Our Naga companions were very upset as it is said that one of those present will die if that rare snake is seen. I could tell from Sangba's face that he took the matter very seriously. Nothing in particular happened in the afternoon.
