Today we already got up at five o'clock, that is still in deep darkness, and around seven we started for Noklak. This morning the situation was as follows. Pangsha had indeed handed over three slaves but they have declared that they will attack us as soon as we come onto their land. We also have heard via Chingmei that they still hold the girl in Pangsha although they claim she has been sold to Burma. Pangsha is threatening to destroy all villages which help us in any way as soon as we have left. |
