Mills had always heard that Pangsha wanted to fight a big battle and obviously they felt the moment had come. We were concerned with getting into the valley before them to avoid an attack in the jungle or while crossing the river so we gave up the advantage of being above the enemy and while they came around the mountain at a continuous height we tried to get down as quickly as possible before we are surrounded by the Pangsha people. Indeed just in time we crossed the path which is the continuation of the trail on which we had seen Pangsha come along, but as we go further down the slope we now hear the war-cry of the attacking masses behind and above us |
