text: Noklak which fears to be held responsible by Pangsha for our marching through their territory takes the opportunity of Chingmak's presence to come to peace with Chingmei. This is of advantage to both sides and it secures Chingmei to some degree against Pangsha's revenge. For the blocking of their path with panjis Noklak had paid us a fine of six mithan which we found yesterday at our camp. (2) Of these Mills gave five to Chingmei for the trouble they have had with us.
