travelling through millet fields |
text: |
Therefore we pass the village of Sangpurr for today on our right where it takes up the ridge of the mountain range with several khels and on a gently declining path we turn down into the valley which separates us from the range on which Panso is situated. If we would take the direct way we would have to climb down very far. Instead we walk towards the end of the valley where the two mountain ranges converge. This way we save ourselves a lot of the climbing. For long stretches the path leads through fields with job's tears and giant red millet. The former is already partly harvested and is set up in bundles in between rather tall stubble. The millet is still standing everywhere |
