text: The latter had sent two boys ahead to Tamlu early in the morning to announce that we were coming and had a head with us. Of course Kanching had also heard about this and now I was beset to give them also a small piece of the precious matter. Recently Kanching has rebuilt, or rather restored, one of its morungs and all posts and carvings are beautifully painted white, black and red. I promised them a small piece from the head if they would come and fetch it themselves from Tamlu.
