In all the confusion one hardly noticed that now one of the most important ceremonies was taking place close by on the genna place of the Balang morung. It is done on this place for all morungs because we have brought the heads from the side closest to the Balang path. For example, Dzeamang put his small piece onto the ground and his oldest brother who is the clan elder threw a raw egg on it and asked the killed one to call his entire family, parents and brothers, they all should come to drink madhu and eat rice. Because Dzeamang will share his piece with the five clans of his morung, the elder of each clan throws an egg on it and says the same words. Shankok carries out the same ceremony with his head. |
