text: After Yonglong had spoken these words over the head he took the poor (94) pathetically chirping chick, cut open it beak and sprinkled some of the blood on the stone, and then he pulled the chick's long intestines from the anus and looked at it to see whether the morung would have good luck or misfortune this year. The omen was good and while the intestine was put across the stone the clan elder again picked up head and chicken.
