text: While I was working in my room in the morning, suddenly the door opened and Kauffmann came in. He had seen my name in the book at the Inspection Bungalow in Dimapur and now had come up. He is looking well and is quite cheerful, although he doesn't seem to have found the right approach yet for his work and apparently is dabbling in too many things. At lunch we roared with laughter while he was telling us his adventures during his tour of the foot range of the Naga Hills. Such incredible things happened to him which otherwise no one would believe. Kauffmann soon had to leave again as there is no room in the Inspection Bungalow. He is going on a tour of the Ao and Sema country and we agreed that he should come to Wakching in April.
