text: The photographs I had taken here in the Autumn caused tremendous shouting and pushing and the girls wanted to see themselves again and again in these pictures. It is often said that photographs mean nothing to primitives and to peoples not used to a two dimensional representation. I could not find this verified here. Even on my tiny pictures the people always recognised themselves and their friends.
