When we get closer to the village and only a deep ravine still separates us from its bridge, the Oting boy calls over in that peculiar way which can be heard up to a great distance and indeed the drum answers and soon we can see people coming down the steep slope. (124) Soon we meet them. It is the gaonbura together with a group of young men in festive ornament. First we drink rice beer on the way and then sweat our way up to the village.
