text: Just as we started to move off the clouds separated and soon the sky was bright blue. One has to go quite steeply down from Oting and then the trail leads through tall jungle up and down along a low ridge. Several times we saw tracks of elephants and large piles of dung and inroads had been made into the bamboo thicket which here and there borders the way, but of the elephants themselves we saw nothing.
