text: In Namsang too there are some clans which believe that they originated from Lungterok. The people of Namsang themselves emphasise their relationship with the Ao and they say that they only later adopted customs of the Konyak when they intermarried with them. Many clans come from Yinyishang which is Piankong. (203) Namsang's population seems at least very mixed. Even people from Assam are supposed to have settled here and eventually merged with the Konyak.
