text: (226) Nevertheless I see myself how one job has to be done twice due to a mistake. Several boys had made the wall on the west side of the house at the curve near the door and with much effort they had fastened horizontal split bamboo called 'shat' to the outside of the poles 'dze' with ties 'dzi' made from the bark of the bag bush
text: Once the frontal main post 'a' has been set up which is decorated with a roughly carved ox or mithan head, the clan eldest ties lai-mai leaves to it 'a', to the back posts 'c' and to the two door posts 'd'
text: Then the old man takes some of the blood and smears it onto the leaves and posts. The central post 'b', however, is only raised later. Crossed bamboo poles are used for that. I am surprised to see the men's agility when it comes to raising the long ridge beam. SKETCH
