those involved in the ceremony |

Towards the end of the ceremony when I started to look around Ahon had disappeared. (5) He had told Nlamo that I was not allowed to enter his house as I had stood so close to the spot where lightning had struck and that he also was not permitted to talk to me. I am really rather enraged about this as he could have warned me in advance. I let him call from his house and suggested to go outside the village so he could explain the ceremony to me. Finally he agreed. He tells me that the man who killed the chicken belonged to the Doalim clan, the second was of the Niem-lim and the third from the Wangnaulim. At every one of these ceremonies the eldest of the Daolim and Niem-lim are involved, but the clan eldest of the Wangnaulim was only there because he happens to be the oldest man of the morung. |
