text: In the morning I completed the house plan of the Angban and started on a list of inhabitants. For that I first sat down in front of the Ang's house now finished and proudly standing. The front is decorated with carved posts and the bamboo plaiting appropriate for an Ang and as in a morung there are bundles of frayed palm leaves which hang above the entrance. The interior however is rather impoverished. The Ang has hardly any decent household articles and the large seat with the hornbill bird heads is almost the only piece of furniture. In the back of the house machans have been put up for the girls of the Angban who will get together there and receive the visits of the boys from other morungs.
