text: The list of inhabitants does not bring up much of interest except that in house 4 there is a man called Toang who has never been married although he is already around fifty years old. Apparently there are convinced bachelors even in Wakching. His old mother lives in the same house with him as well as his younger brother with wife and children. (7) So far I could not discover a particular preference of one morung over the others when it comes to choosing a spouse. Possibly marriages with Balang women are more frequent than those with the Bala.
